Before your tattoo session

Here are some important tips to properly prepare for your tattoo appointment:

1. Rest and sleep well.
- Ensure you are well-rested for your appointment, even if you're excited about getting a new tattoo.

2. Eat before, and drink water.
Eat a full meal and drink plenty of water before your appointment. Also, bring some snacks with you.

3. Avoid heavy training.
Try not to overexert yourself at the gym the day before or on the day of your tattoo appointment. Your body needs rest.

4. No tanning.
Avoid direct sunlight and tanning, especially for colour tattoos.

5. No scrubs.
Please don’t exfoliate your skin before your appointment, as it can make the skin more fragile and harder to tattoo.

6. Moisturizing is key
Apply moisturizing lotion, cream, or coconut oil to the area to be tattooed for one week before the appointment to ensure the skin is in good condition. Please keep the following in mind:

7. Wear comfortable, preferably dark-coloured clothes. Ink can sometimes transfer onto clothing, especially after your tattoo is finished and covered with second skin or plastic wrap. So, wearing clothes you won't mind getting stained is best.

I'm excited to welcome you to my studio! If you're feeling nervous or stressed for your first time getting a tattoo, feel free to bring a friend or family member along. However, please note that our studio lounge has limited space, and our tattoo artists also use it for consultations. Workstations are reserved for our clients and tattoo artists only, as they must comply with health and sanitation regulations. This doesn't mean you can't bring someone with you, but if your tattoo session will be lengthy, I recommend that the person with you re-join us when there are about 20 minutes left.
